Volcano of Guatemala and a warning

Before the Son of man appears in the clouds of heaven everything in nature will be convulsed. Lightning from heaven uniting with the fire in the earth will cause the mountains to burn like a furnace and pour out their floods of lava over villages and cities. Molten masses of rock thrown into the water by the upheaval of things hidden in the earth will cause the water to boil and send forth rocks and earth. There will be mighty earthquakes and great destruction of human life.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:946 (1907). LDE 26.3
Warning given before Jesus Christ comes a second time to take His people to heaven:
As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will personate Christ. The church has long professed to look to the Saviour’s advent as the consummation of her hopes. Now the great deceiver will make it appear that Christ has come. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of God given by John in the Revelation. [Revelation 1:13-15.] The glory that surrounds him is unsurpassed by anything that mortal eyes have yet beheld. The shout of triumph rings out upon the air., “Christ has come! Christ has come!” The people prostrate themselves in adoration before him, while he lifts up his hands, and pronounces a blessing upon them, as Christ blessed his disciples when he was upon the earth. His voice is soft and subdued, yet full of melody. In gentle, compassionate tones he presents some of the same gracious, heavenly truths which the Saviour uttered; he heals the diseases of the people, and then, in his assumed character of Christ, he claims to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday, and commands all to hallow the day which he has blessed. He declares that those who persist in keeping holy the seventh day are blaspheming his name by refusing to listen to his angels sent to them with light and truth. This is the strong, almost overmastering delusion. Like the Samaritans who were deceived by Simon Magus, the multitudes, from the least to the greatest, give heed to these sorceries, saying, This is “the great power of God.” [Acts 8:10.] GC88 624.1
But the people of God will not be misled. The teachings of this false Christ are not in accordance with the Scriptures His blessing is pronounced upon the worshipers of the beast and his image,—the very class upon whom the Bible declares that God’s unmingled wrath shall be poured out. GC88 624.2
And, furthermore, Satan is not permitted to counterfeit the manner of Christ’s advent. The Saviour has warned his people against deception upon this point, and has clearly foretold the manner of his second coming. “There shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect…. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” [Matthew 24:24-27, 31; 25:31; Revelation 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17.] This coming, there is no possibility of counterfeiting. It will be universally known—witnessed by the whole world. GC88 625.1
Only those who have been diligent students of the Scriptures, and who have received the love of the truth, will be shielded from the powerful delusion that takes the world captive. By the Bible testimony these will detect the deceiver in his disguise. GC88 625.2

Masas de rocas derretidas, arrojadas dentro del agua por el solevantamiento de cosas ocultas dentro de la tierra, harán que hierva el agua y despida rocas y tierra. Advertencia dada antes de que Jesucristo venga por segunda vez a llevarse a Su pueblo al cielo:
El acto capital que coronará el gran drama del engaño será que el mismo Satanás se dará por el Cristo. Hace mucho que la iglesia profesa esperar el advenimiento del Salvador como consumación de sus esperanzas. Pues bien, el gran engañador simulará que Cristo habrá venido. En varias partes de la tierra, Satanás se manifestará a los hombres como ser majestuoso, de un brillo deslumbrador, parecido a la descripción que del Hijo de Dios da San Juan en el Apocalipsis. Apocalipsis 1:13-15. La gloria que le rodee superará cuanto hayan visto los ojos de los mortales. El grito de triunfo repercutirá por los aires: “¡Cristo ha venido! ¡Cristo ha venido!” El pueblo se postrará en adoración ante él, mientras levanta sus manos y pronuncia una bendición sobre ellos como Cristo bendecía a sus discípulos cuando estaba en la tierra. Su voz es suave y acompasada aunque llena de melodía. En tono amable y compasivo, enuncia algunas de las verdades celestiales y llenas de gracia que pronunciaba el Salvador; cura las dolencias del pueblo, y luego, en su fementido carácter de Cristo, asegura haber mudado el día de reposo del sábado al domingo y manda a todos que santifiquen el día bendecido por él. Declara que aquellos que persisten en santificar el séptimo día blasfeman su nombre porque se niegan a oír a sus ángeles, que les fueron enviados con la luz de la verdad. Es el engaño más poderoso y resulta casi irresistible. Como los samaritanos fueron engañados por Simón el Mago, así también las multitudes, desde los más pequeños hasta los mayores, creen en ese sortilegio y dicen: “Este es el poder de Dios llamado grande.” Hechos 8:10 (V. N-C). CI 89.3
Pero el pueblo de Dios no se extraviará. Las enseñanzas del falso Cristo no están de acuerdo con las Sagradas Escrituras. Su bendición va dirigida a los que adoran la bestia y su imagen, precisamente aquellos sobre quienes dice la Biblia que la ira de Dios será derramada sin mezcla. CI 90.1
Además, no se le permitirá a Satanás contrahacer la manera en que vendrá Jesús. El Salvador previno a su pueblo contra este engaño y predijo claramente cómo será su segundo advenimiento. “Porque se levantarán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas, y darán señales grandes y prodigios; de tal manera que engañarán, si es posible, aun a los escogidos. … Así que, si os dijeren: He aquí en el desierto está; no salgáis: He aquí en las cámaras; no creáis. Porque como el relámpago que sale del oriente y se muestra hasta el occidente, así será también la venida del Hijo del hombre.” Mateo 24:24-27, 31; 25:31; Apocalipsis 1:7; 1 Tesalonicenses 4:16, 17. No se puede remedar semejante aparición. Todos la conocerán y el mundo entero la presenciará. CI 90.2
Sólo los que hayan estudiado diligentemente las Escrituras y hayan recibido el amor de la verdad en sus corazones, serán protegidos de los poderosos engaños que cautivarán al mundo. Merced al testimonio bíblico descubrirán al engañador bajo su disfraz. CI 90.3
