The Loud Cry (Important!!)<\/p>\n
Tremendous issues are before us, yea, and right upon us. Let our prayers ascend to God that the four angels may still hold the four winds, that they may not blow to injure or destroy until the last warning has been given to the world. Then let us work in harmony with our prayers. Let nothing lessen the force of the truth for this time. The present truth is to be our burden. The third angel’s message must do its work of separating from the churches a people who will take their stand on the platform of eternal truth. 6T 61.2<\/p>\n
At Oswego, New York, September 7, 1850, the Lord showed me that a great work must be done for His people before they could stand in the battle in the day of the Lord. I was pointed to those who claim to be Adventists, but who reject the present truth, and saw that they were crumbling and that the hand of the Lord was in their midst to divide and scatter them now in the gathering time, so that the precious jewels among them, who have formerly been deceived, may have their eyes opened to see their true state. And now when the truth is presented to them by the Lord’s messengers, they are prepared to listen, and see its beauty and harmony, and to leave their former associates and errors, embrace the precious truth and stand where they can define their position. EW 69.2<\/p>\n
Very many raised their voices to cry, \u201cBehold, the Bridegroom cometh!\u201d and left their brethren who did not love the appearing of Jesus, and who would not suffer them to dwell upon His second coming. I saw Jesus turn His face from those who rejected and despised His coming, and then He bade angels lead His people out from among the unclean, lest they should be defiled. Those who were obedient to the message stood out free and united. A holy light shone upon them. They renounced the world, sacrificed their earthly interests, gave up their earthly treasures, and directed their anxious gaze to heaven, expecting to see their loved Deliverer. A holy light beamed upon their countenances, telling of the peace and joy which reigned within. Jesus bade His angels go and strengthen them, for the hour of their trial drew on. I saw that these waiting ones were not yet tried as they must be. They were not free from errors. And I saw the mercy and goodness of God in sending a warning to the people of the earth, and repeated messages to lead them to a diligent searching of heart, and study of the Scriptures, that they might divest themselves of errors which have been handed down from the heathen and papists. Through these messages God has been bringing out His people where He can work for them in greater power, and where they can keep all His commandments. EW 249.2<\/p>\n
Sabbath, March 24, 1849, we had a sweet and very interesting meeting with the brethren at Topsham, Maine. The Holy Ghost was poured out upon us, and I was taken off in the Spirit to the city of the living God. Then I was shown that the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ relating to the shut door could not be separated, and that the time for the commandments of God to shine out with all their importance, and for God’s people to be tried on the Sabbath truth, was when the door was opened in the most holy place in the heavenly sanctuary, where the ark is, in which are contained the ten commandments. This door was not opened until the mediation of Jesus was finished in the holy place of the sanctuary in 1844. Then Jesus rose up and shut the door of the holy place, and opened the door into the most holy, and passed within the second veil, where He now stands by the ark, and where the faith of Israel now reaches. EW 42.1<\/p>\n
Satan was trying his every art to hold them where they were, until the sealing was past, until the covering was drawn over God’s people, and they left without a shelter from the burning wrath of God, in the seven last plagues. God has begun to draw this covering over His people, and it will soon be drawn over all who are to have a shelter in the day of slaughter. God will work in power for His people; and Satan will be permitted to work also. EW 44.2<\/p>\n
I then saw the third angel. Said my accompanying angel, \u201cFearful is his work. Awful is his mission. He is the angel that is to select the wheat from the tares, and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner. These things should engross the whole mind, the whole attention.\u201d EW 118.1<\/p>\n
I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and before the plagues shall be poured out, ministers and people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think that God is with them. He hopes to deceive the honest and lead them to think that God is still working for the churches. But the light will shine, and all who are honest will leave the fallen churches, and take their stand with the remnant. EW 261.1<\/p>\n
I saw four angels who had a work to do on the earth, and were on their way to accomplish it. Jesus was clothed with priestly garments. He gazed in pity on the remnant, then raised His hands, and with a voice of deep pity cried, \u201cMy blood, Father, My blood, My blood, My blood!\u201d Then I saw an exceeding bright light come from God, who sat upon the great white throne, and was shed all about Jesus. Then I saw an angel with a commission from Jesus, swiftly flying to the four angels who had a work to do on the earth, and waving something up and down in his hand, and crying with a loud voice, \u201cHold! Hold! Hold! Hold! until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads.\u201d EW 38.1
\nI asked my accompanying angel the meaning of what I heard, and what the four angels were about to do. He said to me that it was God that restrained the powers, and that He gave His angels charge over things on the earth; that the four angels had power from God to hold the four winds, and that they were about to let them go; but while their hands were loosening, and the four winds were about to blow, the merciful eye of Jesus gazed on the remnant that were not sealed, and He raised His hands to the Father and pleaded with Him that He had spilled His blood for them. Then another angel was commissioned to fly swiftly to the four angels and bid them hold, until the servants of God were sealed with the seal of the living God in their foreheads. EW 38.2<\/p>\n
The true people of God, who have the spirit of the work of the Lord and the salvation of souls at heart, will ever view sin in its real, sinful character. They will always be on the side of faithful and plain dealing with sins which easily beset the people of God. Especially in the closing work for the church, in the sealing time of the one hundred and forty-four thousand who are to stand without fault before the throne of God, will they feel most deeply the wrongs of God’s professed people. This is forcibly set forth by the prophet’s illustration of the last work under the figure of the men each having a slaughter weapon in his hand. One man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. \u201cAnd the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.\u201d 3T 266.2<\/p>\n
I saw that many were neglecting the preparation so needful and were looking to the time of \u201crefreshing\u201d and the \u201clatter rain\u201d to fit them to stand in the day of the Lord and to live in His sight. Oh, how many I saw in the time of trouble without a shelter! They had neglected the needful preparation; therefore they could not receive the refreshing that all must have to fit them to live in the sight of a holy God. Those who refuse to be hewed by the prophets and fail to purify their souls in obeying the whole truth, and who are willing to believe that their condition is far better than it really is, will come up to the time of the falling of the plagues, and then see that they needed to be hewed and squared for the building. But there will be no time then to do it and no Mediator to plead their cause before the Father. Before this time the awfully solemn declaration has gone forth, \u201cHe that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.\u201d I saw that none could share the \u201crefreshing\u201d unless they obtain the victory over every besetment, over pride, selfishness, love of the world, and over every wrong word and action. We should, therefore, be drawing nearer and nearer to the Lord and be earnestly seeking that preparation necessary to enable us to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord. Let all remember that God is holy and that none but holy beings can ever dwell in His presence. EW 71.2<\/p>\n
The image of the beast will be formed before probation closes; for it is to be the great test for the people of God, by which their eternal destiny will be decided…. Mar 164.2<\/p>\n
It is not always safe to ask for unconditional healing…. He knows whether or not those for whom petitions are offered would be able to endure the trial and test that would come upon them if they lived. He knows the end from the beginning. Many will be laid away to sleep before the fiery ordeal of the time of trouble shall come upon our world.\u2014Counsels on Health, 375 (1892). LDE 255.2<\/p>\n
On page 33 [of Early Writings] is given the following: \u201c… At the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully.\u201d LDE 143.1
\nThis view was given in 1847 when there were but very few of the Advent brethren observing the Sabbath, and of these but few supposed that its observance was of sufficient importance to draw a line between the people of God and unbelievers. Now the fulfillment of that view is beginning to be seen. \u201cThe commencement of that time of trouble,\u201d here mentioned, does not refer to the time when the plagues shall begin to be poured out, but to a short period just before they are poured out, while Christ is in the sanctuary. At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the third angel.\u2014Early Writings, 85, 86 (1854). LDE 143.2<\/p>\n
The third angel’s message is to be given with power. The power of the proclamation of the first and second messages is to be intensified in the third. In the Revelation John says of the heavenly messenger who unites with the third angel: \u201cI saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice.\u201d Revelation 18:1, 2. We are in danger of giving the third angel’s message in so indefinite a manner that it does not impress the people. So many other interests are brought in that the very message which should be proclaimed with power becomes tame and voiceless. At our camp meetings a mistake has been made. The Sabbath question has been touched upon, but has not been presented as the great test for this time. While the churches profess to believe in Christ, they are violating the law which Christ Himself proclaimed from Sinai. The Lord bids us: \u201cShow My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.\u201d Isaiah 58:1. The trumpet is to give a certain sound. 6T 60.1<\/p>\n
The third angel is represented as flying in the midst of heaven, symbolizing the work of those who proclaim the first, second, and third angel’s messages; all are linked together. The evidences of the abiding, everliving truth of these grand messages that mean so much to us, that have awakened such intense opposition from the religious world, are not extinct. Satan is constantly seeking to cast his hellish shadow about these messages, so that the remnant people of God shall not clearly discern their import\u2014their time and place\u2014but they live, and are to exert their power upon our religious experience while time shall last…. 3SM 405.2<\/p>\n
We have a testing message to give, and I am instructed to say to our people, \u201cUnify, unify.\u201d But we are not to unify with those who are departing from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. With our hearts sweet and kind and true, we are to go forth to proclaim the message, giving no heed to those who lead away from the truth.\u2014Manuscript 31, 1906. 3SM 412.2<\/p>\n
Already kingdom is rising against kingdom. There is not now a determined engagement. As yet the four winds are held until the servants of God shall be sealed in their foreheads. Then the Powers of earth will marshal their forces for the last great battle. How carefully we should improve the little remaining period of our probation! RH November 27, 1900, par. 16<\/p>\n
Everything in the world is in an unsettled state. The nations are angry, and great preparations for war are being made. Nation is plotting against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. The great day of God is hasting greatly. But although the nations are mustering their forces for war and bloodshed, the command to the angels is still in force, that they hold the four winds until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads. RH January 28, 1909, par. 3<\/p>\n
I saw that the four angels would hold the four winds until Jesus\u2019 work was done in the sanctuary, and then will come the seven last plagues. EW 36.2<\/p>\n
Solemn events before us are yet to transpire. Trumpet after trumpet is to be sounded; vial after vial poured out one after another upon the inhabitants of the earth.\u2014Selected Messages 3:426 (1890). LDE 238.1<\/p>\n
By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation [the United States] will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. Mar 190.2<\/p>\n
Some had been shaken out and left by the way. The careless and indifferent, who did not join with those who prized victory and salvation enough to perseveringly plead and agonize for it, did not obtain it, and they were left behind in darkness, and their places were immediately filled by others taking hold of the truth and coming into the ranks.\u2014Early Writings, 271 (1858). LDE 182.1<\/p>\n
The broken ranks will be filled up by those represented by Christ as coming in at the eleventh hour. There are many with whom the Spirit of God is striving. The time of God’s destructive judgments is the time of mercy for those who [now] have no opportunity to learn what is truth. Tenderly will the Lord look upon them. His heart of mercy is touched, His hand is still stretched out to save, while the door is closed to those who would not enter. Large numbers will be admitted who in these last days hear the truth for the first time.\u2014Letter 103, 1903. LDE 182.2<\/p>\n
Standard after standard was left to trail in the dust as company after company from the Lord’s army joined the foe and tribe after tribe from the ranks of the enemy united with the commandment-keeping people of God.\u2014Testimonies for the Church 8:41 (1904). LDE 182.3<\/p>\n
Just before we entered it, we all received the seal of the living God. Then I saw the four Angels cease to hold the four winds. And I saw famine, pestilence and sword, nation rose against nation, and the whole world was in confusion. DS March 14, 1846, par. 2 (The Day-Star)<\/p>\n

Satan\u00e1s probaba cada una de sus artes para sujetarlos donde estaban hasta que hubiese pasado el sellamiento, hasta que la cubierta se hubiese corrido sobre el pueblo de Dios, y ellos hubiesen quedado sin refugio que los protegiera de la ira ardiente de Dios en las siete \u00faltimas plagas. Vi luego el tercer \u00e1ngel [Apocalipsis 14:9-11]. Dijo mi \u00e1ngel acompa\u00f1ante: \u201cSu obra es terrible. Su misi\u00f3n es tremenda. Es el \u00e1ngel que ha de separar el trigo de la ciza\u00f1a, y sellar o atar el trigo para el granero celestial. Vi que Dios tiene hijos sinceros entre los adventistas nominales y las iglesias ca\u00eddas, y antes que sean derramadas las plagas, los ministros y la gente ser\u00e1n invitados a salir de esas iglesias y recibir\u00e1n gustosamente la verdad. Satan\u00e1s lo sabe; y antes que se d\u00e9 el fuerte preg\u00f3n del tercer \u00e1ngel, despierta excitaci\u00f3n en aquellas organizaciones religiosas, a fin de que los que rechazaron la verdad piensen que Dios los acompa\u00f1a.
\nSatan\u00e1s espera enga\u00f1ar a los sinceros e inducirlos a creer que Dios sigue obrando en favor de las iglesias. Pero la luz resplandecer\u00e1, y todos los que tengan coraz\u00f3n sincero dejar\u00e1n a las iglesias ca\u00eddas, y se decidir\u00e1n por el residuo. PE p.261<\/p>\n
Vi cuatro \u00e1ngeles que hab\u00edan de hacer una labor en la tierra y andaban en v\u00edas de realizarla. Jes\u00fas vest\u00eda ropas sacerdotales. Mir\u00f3 compasivamente al pueblo remanente, y alzando las manos exclam\u00f3 con voz de profunda compasi\u00f3n: “\u00a1Mi sangre, Padre, mi sangre, mi sangre, mi sangre!” Entonces 38 vi que de Dios, sentado en el gran trono blanco, sal\u00eda una luz en extremo refulgente que derramaba sus rayos en derredor de Jes\u00fas. \nPregunt\u00e9 a mi \u00e1ngel acompa\u00f1ante qu\u00e9 significaba lo que o\u00eda y qu\u00e9 iban a hacer los cuatro \u00e1ngeles. Me respondi\u00f3 que Dios era quien refrenaba las potestades y que encargaba a sus \u00e1ngeles de todo lo relativo a la tierra; que los cuatro \u00e1ngeles ten\u00edan poder de Dios para retener los cuatro vientos, y que estaban ya a punto de soltarlos, pero mientras aflojaban las manos y cuando los cuatro vientos iban a soplar, los misericordiosos ojos de Jes\u00fas vieron al pueblo remanente todav\u00eda sin sellar, y alzando
\nlas manos hacia su Padre intercedi\u00f3 con \u00e9l, record\u00e1ndole que hab\u00eda derramado su sangre por ellos. En consecuencia se le mand\u00f3 a otro \u00e1ngel que fuera velozmente a decir a los cuatro que retuvieran los vientos hasta que los siervos de Dios fuesen sellados en la frente con el sello de Dios. El verdadero pueblo de Dios, que toma a pecho el esp\u00edritu de la obra del Se\u00f1or y la salvaci\u00f3n de las almas, ver\u00e1 siempre al pecado en su verdadero car\u00e1cter pecaminoso. Estar\u00e1 siempre de parte de los que denuncian claramente los pecados que tan f\u00e1cilmente asedian a los hijos de Dios. Especialmente en la obra final que se hace en favor de la iglesia, en el tiempo del sellamiento de los ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil que han de subsistir sin defecto delante del trono de Dios, sentir\u00e1n muy profundamente los yerros de los que profesan ser hijos de Dios. Esto lo expone con mucho vigor la ilustraci\u00f3n que presenta el profeta acerca de la \u00faltima obra, bajo la figura de los hombres que ten\u00edan sendas armas destructoras en las manos. Entre ellos hab\u00eda uno vestido de lino que ten\u00eda a su lado un tintero. \u201cY le dijo Jehov\u00e1: Pasa por en medio de la ciudad, por en medio de Jerusal\u00e9n, y ponles una se\u00f1al en la frente a los hombres que gimen y que claman a causa de todas las abominaciones que se hacen en medio de ella\u201d. Ezequiel 9:4. 3TI 295.2<\/p>\n
Vi que muchos descuidaban la preparaci\u00f3n necesaria, esperando que el tiempo del “refrigerio” y la “lluvia tard\u00eda” los preparase para sostenerse en el d\u00eda del Se\u00f1or y vivir en su presencia. \u00a1Oh! \u00a1y a cu\u00e1ntos vi sin amparo en el tiempo de angustia! Hab\u00edan descuidado la preparaci\u00f3n necesaria, y por lo tanto no pod\u00edan recibir el refrigerio indispensable para sobrevivir a la vista de un Dios santo. Quienes se nieguen a ser tallados por los profetas y a purificar sus almas obedeciendo a toda la verdad, quienes
\npresuman estar en condici\u00f3n mucho mejor de lo que est\u00e1n en realidad, llegar\u00e1n al tiempo en que caigan las plagas y ver\u00e1n que les hubiera sido necesario que los tallasen y escuadrasen para la edificaci\u00f3n. Pero ya no habr\u00e1 tiempo para ello ni tampoco Mediador que abogue por ellos ante el Padre. Antes de ese tiempo se promulg\u00f3 la solemne declaraci\u00f3n: “El que es injusto, sea injusto todav\u00eda; y el que es inmundo, sea inmundo todav\u00eda; y el que es justo, practique la justicia todav\u00eda; y el que es santo,
\nsantif\u00edquese todav\u00eda.” Vi que nadie podr\u00e1 participar del “refrigerio” a menos que haya vencido todas las tentaciones y triunfado del orgullo, el ego\u00edsmo, el amor al mundo y toda palabra y obra malas. No es siempre seguro orar por una curaci\u00f3n incondicional […]. El sabe si aquellos por quienes se ofrecen las peticiones ser\u00e1n capaces de soportar o no la prueba que vendr\u00eda sobre ellos si viviesen. \u00c9l conoce el fin desde el principio. Muchos ser\u00e1n llamados a descansar antes de que la ardiente prueba del tiempo de angustia venga sobre nuestro mundo.\u2014Counsels on Health, 375 (1897). EUD 217.1<\/p>\n
En la p\u00e1gina 33 [de Primeros escritos] se lee lo siguiente: \u201c…Al comenzar el tiempo de angustia, fuimos henchidos del Esp\u00edritu Santo cuando salimos a proclamar m\u00e1s plenamente el s\u00e1bado\u201d. EUD92 147.1
\nEsta visi\u00f3n fue dada en 1847 cuando eran muy pocos los hermanos adventistas que observaban el s\u00e1bado, y de \u00e9stos eran aun menos los que supon\u00edan que su observancia era de suficiente importancia para trazar una separaci\u00f3n entre el pueblo de Dios y los incr\u00e9dulos. Ahora se comienza a ver el cumplimiento de esa visi\u00f3n. El comienzo \u201cdel tiempo de angustia\u201d mencionado entonces no se refiere al tiempo cuando comenzar\u00e1n a ser derramadas las plagas, sino a un corto per\u00edodo precisamente antes que caigan, mientras Cristo est\u00e1 en el santuario. En ese tiempo, cuando se est\u00e9 terminando la obra de la salvaci\u00f3n, vendr\u00e1 aflicci\u00f3n sobre la tierra, y las naciones se airar\u00e1n, aunque ser\u00e1n mantenidas en jaque para que no impidan la realizaci\u00f3n de la obra del tercer \u00e1ngel.\u2014Primeros Escritos, 85 (1854). La advertencia final
\nEl mensaje del tercer \u00e1ngel debe darse con poder. El poder de la proclamaci\u00f3n del primer y segundo mensajes debe intensificarse en el tercero. En Apocalipsis Juan se expresa del mensajero celestial que se une al tercer \u00e1ngel, como sigue: \u201cDespu\u00e9s de esto vi a otro \u00e1ngel descender del cielo con gran poder; y la tierra fue alumbrada con su gloria. Y clam\u00f3 con voz potente, diciendo: Ha ca\u00eddo, ha ca\u00eddo la gran Babilonia, y se ha hecho habitaci\u00f3n de demonios y guarida de todo esp\u00edritu inmundo, y albergue de toda ave inmunda y aborrecible\u201d. Apocalipsis 18:1, 2. Corremos el peligro de dar el mensaje del tercer \u00e1ngel de forma tan indefinida que no impresione a la gente. Se introducen tantos otros intereses que el mismo mensaje que debiera proclamarse con poder; llega a ser d\u00e9bil e ineficaz. Se ha incurrido en una equivocaci\u00f3n en nuestros congresos campestres. Se ha presentado el tema del s\u00e1bado, pero no como la gran prueba para este tiempo. Mientras las iglesias profesan creer en Cristo, est\u00e1n invalidando la ley que Cristo mismo proclam\u00f3 desde el Sina\u00ed. El Se\u00f1or nos pide: \u201cAnuncia a mi pueblo su rebeli\u00f3n, y a la casa de Jacob su pecado\u201d. Isa\u00edas 58:1. La trompeta debe emitir un sonido aut\u00e9ntico. 6TI 67.1<\/p>\n
Se representa al tercer \u00e1ngel como volando por en medio del cielo, como s\u00edmbolo de la obra de los que proclaman los mensajes del primero, el segundo y el tercer \u00e1ngeles; todos \u00e9stos est\u00e1n \u00edntimamente vinculados. Las evidencias de la verdad permanente y siempre viva de estos grandes mensajes, que significan tanto para nosotros, y que han despertado tanta oposici\u00f3n de parte del mundo religioso, no est\u00e1n extinguidas. Satan\u00e1s est\u00e1 tratando constantemente de arrojar su sombra infernal sobre estos mensajes, de manera que el pueblo remanente de Dios no discierna claramente su importancia\u2014su tiempo y lugar\u2014, pero esos mensajes est\u00e1n vivos, y ejercer\u00e1n su poder sobre nuestra experiencia religiosa mientras dure el tiempo… 3MS 462.2<\/p>\n
Tenemos un mensaje decisivo que dar, y se me ha instruido para que diga a nuestro pueblo: \u201cUn\u00edos, un\u00edos\u201d. Pero no debemos unirnos con los que se apartan de la fe, prestando o\u00eddo a esp\u00edritus seductores y a doctrinas de demonios. Con nuestros corazones enternecidos, bondadosos y fieles, tenemos que avanzar para proclamar el mensaje, sin prestar atenci\u00f3n a los que se desv\u00edan de la verdad.\u2014Manuscrito 31, 1906. 3MS 471.1<\/p>\n
Ya se est\u00e1 levantando reino contra reino. No hay ahora una acci\u00f3n b\u00e9lica decidida. Los cuatro vientos a\u00fan son retenidos hasta que los siervos de Dios sean sellados en sus frentes. Entonces los poderes de la tierra unir\u00e1n sus fuerzas para la \u00faltima gran batalla. \u00a1Cu\u00e1n cuidadosamente debi\u00e9ramos aprovechar el corto per\u00edodo de gracia que nos queda! Todo el mundo est\u00e1 trastornado. Las naciones est\u00e1n airadas y se est\u00e1n haciendo grandes preparativos para la guerra. Una naci\u00f3n est\u00e1 conspirando contra otra y un reino contra otro. Se apresura grandemente el gran d\u00eda de Dios. Pero aunque las naciones est\u00e9n reuniendo sus fuerzas para la guerra y el derramamiento de sangre, a\u00fan sigue en vigencia la orden dada a los \u00e1ngeles: que retengan los cuatro vientos hasta que los 980 siervos de Dios sean sellados en sus frentes (RH 28-1-1909).<\/p>\n
Vi que los cuatro \u00e1ngeles iban a retener los vientos mientras no estuviese hecha la obra de Jes\u00fas en el santuario, y que entonces caer\u00edan las siete postreras plagas. PE p.36<\/p>\n

Por el decreto que imponga la instituci\u00f3n del papado en violaci\u00f3n de la ley de Dios, nuestra naci\u00f3n [los Estados Unidos de Am\u00e9rica] se separar\u00e1 completamente de la justicia. En el zarandeo, algunos fueron dejados al lado del camino. Los descuidados e indiferentes que no se unieron con quienes apreciaban la victoria y la salvaci\u00f3n lo bastante para perseverar en anhelarlas orando angustiosamente por ellas, no las obtuvieron, y quedaron rezagados en las tinieblas, y sus sitios fueron ocupados en seguida por otros, que se un\u00edan a las filas de quienes hab\u00edan aceptado la verdad.\u2014Primeros Escritos, 271 (1858). \nLas filas raleadas ser\u00e1n llenadas por aquellos a quienes Cristo represent\u00f3 como viniendo a la und\u00e9cima hora. Hay muchos con quienes el Esp\u00edritu de Dios est\u00e1 contendiendo. El tiempo de los juicios destructores de Dios es el tiempo de la misericordia para aquellos que [hasta el momento] no han tenido oportunidad de aprender qu\u00e9 es la verdad. Precisamente antes de que entr\u00e1ramos en \u00e9l [el tiempo de angustia], todos recibimos el sello del Dios viviente. Entonces vi que los cuatro \u00e1ngeles dejaron de retener los cuatro vientos.
