An Explanation<\/p>\n
Dear Christian Friends: As I have given a brief sketch of my experience and views, published in 1851, it seems to be my duty to notice some points in that little work, also to give more recent views.<\/p>\n
1. On page 33 is given the following: “I saw that the holy Sabbath is, and will be, the separating wall between the true Israel of God and unbelievers; and that the Sabbath is the great question to unite the hearts of God’s dear, waiting saints. I saw that God had children who do not see and keep the Sabbath. They have not rejected the light upon it. And at the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully.”<\/p>\n
This view was given in 1847 when there were but very few of the Advent brethren observing the Sabbath, and of these but few supposed that its observance was of sufficient importance to draw a line between the people of God and unbelievers. Now the fulfilment of that view is beginning to be seen. “The commencement of that time of trouble,” here mentioned does not refer to the time when the plagues shall begin to be poured out, but to a short period just before they are poured out, while Christ is in the sanctuary. At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the<\/p>\n

third angel. At that time the “latter rain,” or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, will come, to give power to the loud voice of the third angel, and prepare the saints to stand in the period when the seven last plagues shall be poured out.<\/p>\n

\nAngels are now restraining the winds of strife, until the world shall be warned of its coming doom; but a storm is gathering, ready to burst upon the earth, and when God shall bid His angels loose the winds, there will be such a scene of strife as no pen can picture…. Mar 266.5
\nA moment of respite has been graciously given us of God. Every power lent us of heaven is to be used in doing the work assigned us by the Lord for those who are perishing in ignorance. The warning message is to be sounded in all parts of the world…. A great work is to be done, and this work has been entrusted to those who know the truth for this time. Mar 266.6<\/p>\n

Apreciados Amigos Cristianos: Como he expuesto un breve esbozo de mi experiencia y visiones, que se public\u00f3 en 1851, me parece que tengo el deber de repasar algunos puntos de aquella obrita, y presentar algunas visiones m\u00e1s recientes. PE 85.1<\/p>\n
1. En la p\u00e1gina 33 se lee lo siguiente: \u201cVi que el santo s\u00e1bado es, y ser\u00e1, el muro separador entre el verdadero Israel de Dios y los incr\u00e9dulos, as\u00ed como la instituci\u00f3n m\u00e1s adecuada para unir los corazones de los queridos y esperanzados santos de Dios. Vi que Dios ten\u00eda hijos que no reconocen ni guardan el s\u00e1bado. No han rechazado la luz referente a \u00e9l. Y al empezar el tiempo de angustia, fuimos henchidos del Esp\u00edritu Santo cuando salimos a proclamar m\u00e1s plenamente el s\u00e1bado.\u201d PE 85.2<\/p>\n
Esta visi\u00f3n fu\u00e9 dada en 1847 cuando eran muy pocos los hermanos adventistas que observaban el s\u00e1bado, y de \u00e9stos eran aun menos los que supon\u00edan que su observancia era de suficiente importancia para trazar una separaci\u00f3n entre el pueblo de Dios y los incr\u00e9dulos. Ahora se comienza a ver el cumplimiento de esa visi\u00f3n. El comienzo \u201cdel tiempo de angustia\u201d mencionado entonces no se refiere al tiempo cuando comenzar\u00e1n a ser derramadas las plagas, sino a un corto per\u00edodo precisamente antes que caigan, mientras Cristo est\u00e1 en el santuario. En ese tiempo, cuando se est\u00e9 terminando la obra de la salvaci\u00f3n, vendr\u00e1 aflicci\u00f3n sobre la tierra, y las naciones se airar\u00e1n, aunque ser\u00e1n mantenidas en jaque para que no impidan la realizaci\u00f3n de la obra del tercer \u00e1ngel.
\nEn ese tiempo, descender\u00e1 la \u201clluvia tard\u00eda\u201d o refrigerio de la presencia del Se\u00f1or para dar poder a la voz fuerte del tercer \u00e1ngel, y preparar a los santos para que puedan subsistir durante el plazo cuando las siete postreras plagas ser\u00e1n derramadas. \nLos \u00e1ngeles est\u00e1n hoy reteniendo los vientos de contienda, hasta que el mundo sea advertido acerca de su inminente destrucci\u00f3n; pero se est\u00e1 preparando una tormenta, que se va a desencadenar sobre la tierra, y cuando Dios ordene a sus \u00e1ngeles que suelten los vientos, habr\u00e1 una escena tal de lucha que ninguna pluma la puede describir…45EE, 510. El Se\u00f1or nos ha concedido misericordiosamente un momento de tregua. Toda facultad que nos ha sido concedida por el cielo ha de ser empleada en hacer la obra que el Se\u00f1or nos asign\u00f3 en favor de los que perecen en la ignorancia.
