Lightning from heaven uniting with the fire in the earth will cause the mountains to burn like a furnace and pour out their floods of lava over villages and cities. Molten masses of rock thrown into the water by the upheaval of things hidden in the earth will cause the water to boil and send forth rocks and earth. There will be mighty earthquakes and great destruction of human life.\u2014The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:946 (1907). LDE 26.3<\/p>\n<p>Warning given before Jesus Christ comes a second time to take His people to heaven:<\/p>\n<p>As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will personate Christ. The church has long professed to look to the Saviour&#8217;s advent as the consummation of her hopes. Now the great deceiver will make it appear that Christ has come. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of God given by John in the Revelation. [Revelation 1:13-15.] The glory that surrounds him is unsurpassed by anything that mortal eyes have yet beheld. The shout of triumph rings out upon the air., \u201cChrist has come! Christ has come!\u201d The people prostrate themselves in adoration before him, while he lifts up his hands, and pronounces a blessing upon them, as Christ blessed his disciples when he was upon the earth. His voice is soft and subdued, yet full of melody. In gentle, compassionate tones he presents some of the same gracious, heavenly truths which the Saviour uttered; he heals the diseases of the people, and then, in his assumed character of Christ, he claims to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday, and commands all to hallow the day which he has blessed. He declares that those who persist in keeping holy the seventh day are blaspheming his name by refusing to listen to his angels sent to them with light and truth. This is the strong, almost overmastering delusion. Like the Samaritans who were deceived by Simon Magus, the multitudes, from the least to the greatest, give heed to these sorceries, saying, This is \u201cthe great power of God.\u201d [Acts 8:10.] GC88 624.1<\/p>\n<p>But the people of God will not be misled. The teachings of this false Christ are not in accordance with the Scriptures His blessing is pronounced upon the worshipers of the beast and his image,\u2014the very class upon whom the Bible declares that God&#8217;s unmingled wrath shall be poured out. GC88 624.2<\/p>\n<p>And, furthermore, Satan is not permitted to counterfeit the manner of Christ&#8217;s advent. The Saviour has warned his people against deception upon this point, and has clearly foretold the manner of his second coming. \u201cThere shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect&#8230;. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.\u201d [Matthew 24:24-27, 31; 25:31; Revelation 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17.] This coming, there is no possibility of counterfeiting. It will be universally known\u2014witnessed by the whole world. GC88 625.1<\/p>\n<p>Only those who have been diligent students of the Scriptures, and who have received the love of the truth, will be shielded from the powerful delusion that takes the world captive. By the Bible testimony these will detect the deceiver in his disguise. Rayos del cielo unidos con el fuego interno de la tierra har\u00e1n que las monta\u00f1as ardan como un horno y que hagan fluir sus torrentes de lava sobre aldeas y ciudades. Masas de rocas derretidas, arrojadas dentro del agua por el solevantamiento de cosas ocultas dentro de la tierra, har\u00e1n que hierva el agua y despida rocas y tierra. Habr\u00e1 formidables terremotos y gran destrucci\u00f3n de vidas humanas.\u2014CBA 7:958 (1907). EUD 25.5<\/p>\n<p>Advertencia dada antes de que Jesucristo venga por segunda vez a llevarse a Su pueblo al cielo:<\/p>\n<p>El acto capital que coronar\u00e1 el gran drama del enga\u00f1o ser\u00e1 que el mismo Satan\u00e1s se dar\u00e1 por el Cristo. Hace mucho que la iglesia profesa esperar el advenimiento del Salvador como consumaci\u00f3n de sus esperanzas. Pues bien, el gran enga\u00f1ador simular\u00e1 que Cristo habr\u00e1 venido. En varias partes de la tierra, Satan\u00e1s se manifestar\u00e1 a los hombres como ser majestuoso, de un brillo deslumbrador, parecido a la descripci\u00f3n que del Hijo de Dios da San Juan en el Apocalipsis. Apocalipsis 1:13-15. La gloria que le rodee superar\u00e1 cuanto hayan visto los ojos de los mortales. El grito de triunfo repercutir\u00e1 por los aires: \u201c\u00a1Cristo ha venido! \u00a1Cristo ha venido!\u201d El pueblo se postrar\u00e1 en adoraci\u00f3n ante \u00e9l, mientras levanta sus manos y pronuncia una bendici\u00f3n sobre ellos como Cristo bendec\u00eda a sus disc\u00edpulos cuando estaba en la tierra. Su voz es suave y acompasada aunque llena de melod\u00eda. En tono amable y compasivo, enuncia algunas de las verdades celestiales y llenas de gracia que pronunciaba el Salvador; cura las dolencias del pueblo, y luego, en su fementido car\u00e1cter de Cristo, asegura haber mudado el d\u00eda de reposo del s\u00e1bado al domingo y manda a todos que santifiquen el d\u00eda bendecido por \u00e9l. Declara que aquellos que persisten en santificar el s\u00e9ptimo d\u00eda blasfeman su nombre porque se niegan a o\u00edr a sus \u00e1ngeles, que les fueron enviados con la luz de la verdad. Es el enga\u00f1o m\u00e1s poderoso y resulta casi irresistible. Como los samaritanos fueron enga\u00f1ados por Sim\u00f3n el Mago, as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n las multitudes, desde los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os hasta los mayores, creen en ese sortilegio y dicen: \u201cEste es el poder de Dios llamado grande.\u201d Hechos 8:10 (V. N-C). CI 89.3<\/p>\n<p>Pero el pueblo de Dios no se extraviar\u00e1. Las ense\u00f1anzas del falso Cristo no est\u00e1n de acuerdo con las Sagradas Escrituras. Su bendici\u00f3n va dirigida a los que adoran la bestia y su imagen, precisamente aquellos sobre quienes dice la Biblia que la ira de Dios ser\u00e1 derramada sin mezcla. CI 90.1<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, no se le permitir\u00e1 a Satan\u00e1s contrahacer la manera en que vendr\u00e1 Jes\u00fas. El Salvador previno a su pueblo contra este enga\u00f1o y predijo claramente c\u00f3mo ser\u00e1 su segundo advenimiento. \u201cPorque se levantar\u00e1n falsos Cristos y falsos profetas, y dar\u00e1n se\u00f1ales grandes y prodigios; de tal manera que enga\u00f1ar\u00e1n, si es posible, aun a los escogidos. &#8230; As\u00ed que, si os dijeren: He aqu\u00ed en el desierto est\u00e1; no salg\u00e1is: He aqu\u00ed en las c\u00e1maras; no cre\u00e1is. Porque como el rel\u00e1mpago que sale del oriente y se muestra hasta el occidente, as\u00ed ser\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n la venida del Hijo del hombre.\u201d Mateo 24:24-27, 31; 25:31; Apocalipsis 1:7; 1 Tesalonicenses 4:16, 17. No se puede remedar semejante aparici\u00f3n. Todos la conocer\u00e1n y el mundo entero la presenciar\u00e1. CI 90.2<\/p>\n<p>S\u00f3lo los que hayan estudiado diligentemente las Escrituras y hayan recibido el amor de la verdad en sus corazones, ser\u00e1n protegidos de los poderosos enga\u00f1os que cautivar\u00e1n al mundo. Merced al testimonio b\u00edblico descubrir\u00e1n al enga\u00f1ador bajo su disfraz.
