\n11\u00a0And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
\n2\u00a0But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
\n3\u00a0And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
\n4\u00a0These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
\n5\u00a0And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
\n6\u00a0These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
\n7\u00a0And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
\n8\u00a0And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
\n9\u00a0And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
\n10\u00a0And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
\n11\u00a0And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
\n12\u00a0And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
\n13\u00a0And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
\n14\u00a0The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
\n15\u00a0And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
\n16\u00a0And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
\n17\u00a0Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
\n18\u00a0And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
\n19\u00a0And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.<\/p>\n

\nthe Church of God\u2014The grand judgment is taking place, and has been going on for some time. Now the Lord says, Measure the temple and the worshipers thereof. Remember when you are walking the streets about your business, God is measuring you;
\nwhen you are attending your household duties, when you engage
\nin conversation, God is measuring you. Remember that your words
\nand actions are being daguerreotyped [photographed] in the books
\nof heaven, as the face is reproduced by the artist on the polished
\nplate.\u2026<\/p>\n
Here is the work going on, measuring the temple and its worshipers
\nto see who will stand in the last day. Those who stand fast shall have an abundant entrance into the kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. When we are doing our work remember there
\nis One that is watching the spirit in which we are doing it. Shall we not bring the Saviour into our everyday lives, into our secular work and domestic duties? Then in the name of God we want to leave behind everything that is not necessary, all gossiping or unprofitable visiting, and present ourselves as servants of the living
\nGod (Manuscript 4, 1888).<\/p>\n

\n58:12-14). Tables of Stone a Convincing Testimony\u2014When God\u2019s temple in heaven is opened, what a triumphant time that will be for all who have been faithful and true! In the temple will be seen the ark of the testament in which were placed the two tables of stone, on which are written God\u2019s law. These tables of stone will be brought forth from their hiding place, and on them will be seen the
\nTen Commandments engraved by the finger of God. These tables of stone now lying in the ark of the testament will be a convincing testimony to the truth and binding claims of God\u2019s law (Letter 47, 1902).<\/p>\n

\nMidiendo a la iglesia de Dios.-
\nEl gran juicio se ha estado llevando a cabo, y desde hace alg\u00fan tiempo. Ahora el Se\u00f1or dice: Mide el templo y a los que adoran en \u00e9l. Mientras recorr\u00e9is las calles haciendo vuestros negocios, recordad que Dios os est\u00e1 midiendo; mientras desempe\u00f1\u00e1is vuestros deberes en el hogar, mientras convers\u00e1is, Dios os est\u00e1 midiendo. Recordad que vuestras palabras y acciones est\u00e1n siendo fotografiadas en los libros del cielo, as\u00ed como el artista reproduce el rostro en la placa pulida\u2026<\/p>\n
Esta es la obra que se lleva a cabo: medir el templo y a los que adoran en \u00e9l para ver qui\u00e9nes permanecen firmes en el \u00faltimo d\u00eda. Los que permanezcan firmes tendr\u00e1n una c\u00f3moda entrada en el reino de nuestro Se\u00f1or y Salvador Jesucristo. Cuando hagamos nuestra obra recordemos que hay Uno que est\u00e1 observando el esp\u00edritu con que la estamos haciendo. \u00bfNo haremos que el Se\u00f1or nos acompa\u00f1e en nuestra vida cotidiana, en nuestra obra secular y en nuestros deberes dom\u00e9sticos? Entonces debemos abandonar en el nombre de Dios todo lo que no es necesario, todas las murmuraciones [y] visitas in\u00fatiles, y presentarnos como
\nsiervos del Dios viviente (MS 4, 1888).<\/p>\n

\nTablas de piedra, un testimonio convincente.-
\nCuando se abra el templo de Dios en el cielo, \u00a1qu\u00e9 ocasi\u00f3n de triunfo ser\u00e1 para los fieles y leales! En el templo se ver\u00e1 el arca del pacto en la cual fueron puestas las dos tablas de piedra sobre las cuales est\u00e1 escrita la ley de Dios. Esas tablas de piedra ser\u00e1n sacadas de su escondedero, y en ellas se ver\u00e1n los Diez Mandamientos esculpidos por el dedo de Dios. Esas tablas de piedra que ahora est\u00e1n en el arca del pacto ser\u00e1n un testimonio convincente de la verdad y de la vigencia de la ley de Dios (Carta 47, 1902).<\/p>\n
El arca que est\u00e1 en el cielo contiene los Diez Mandamientos.-
\nMentes y corazones sacr\u00edlegos pensaron que ten\u00edan poder suficiente para cambiar los tiempos y la ley de Jehov\u00e1; pero en los archivos del cielo, en el arca de Dios, est\u00e1n a salvo los mandamientos originales, escritos sobre dos tablas de piedra.
