Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts.<br \/>\n30\u00a0Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.<br \/>\n31\u00a0A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord.<br \/>\n32\u00a0Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.<br \/>\n33\u00a0And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.<br \/>\n34\u00a0Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.<br \/>\n35\u00a0And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.<br \/>\n36\u00a0A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the Lord hath spoiled their pasture.<br \/>\n37\u00a0And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the Lord.<br \/>\n38\u00a0He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.<\/p>\n<p>\u25ac\u25ac\u25ac\u25ac\u25ac\u25ac\u25ac<br \/>\nThe Lost Condemn Their False Shepherds<\/p>\n<p>Church members who have seen the light and been convicted, but who have trusted the salvation of their souls to the minister, will learn in the day of God that no other soul can pay the ransom<br \/>\nfor their transgression. A terrible cry will be raised, \u201cI am lost, eternally lost.\u201d Men will feel as though they could rend in pieces the ministers who have preached falsehoods and condemned the<br \/>\ntruth.\u2014The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 4:1157 (1900).<\/p>\n<p>All unite in heaping their bitterest condemnation upon the ministers. Unfaithful pastors have prophesied smooth things; they have led their hearers to make void the law of God and to persecute those who would keep it holy. Now, in their despair, these teachers confess before the world their work of deception. The multitudes are filled with fury. \u201cWe are lost!\u201d they cry, \u201cand you are the cause of our ruin\u201d; and they turn upon the false shepherds. The very ones that once admired them most, will pronounce the most dreadful curses upon them. The very hands that once crowned them with laurels, will be raised for their destruction. The swords which were to slay God\u2019s people, are now employed to destroy their enemies.\u2014The Great Controversy, 655, 656 (1911).<\/p>\n<p>Here we see that the church\u2014the Lord\u2019s sanctuary\u2014was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men [Ezekiel 9:6], those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust.\u2014Testimonies for the Church 5:211 (1882).<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s Word is made of none effect by false shepherds.\u2026 Their work will soon react upon themselves. Surgir\u00e1 un terrible clamor: &#8220;Estoy perdido, eternamente perdido&#8221;. Habr\u00e1 quienes sentir\u00e1n que ser\u00edan capaces de despedazar a lo ministros que han ense\u00f1ado falsedades y han condenado la verdad.-4CBA 1178 (1900)<\/p>\n<p>Todos concuerdan para abrumar a los ministros con la m\u00e1s amarga condenaci\u00f3n. Los pastores infieles profetizaron cosas lisonjeras; indujeron a sus oyentes a menospreciar la ley de Dios y a, perseguir a los que quer\u00edan santificarla. Ahora, en su desesperaci\u00f3n, estos maestros confiesan ante el mundo su obra de enga\u00f1o. Las multitudes se llenan de furor. &#8220;\u00a1Estamos perdidos!-exclaman- 252 y vosotros sois causa de nuestra perdici\u00f3n&#8221;; y se vuelven contra los falsos pastores. Precisamente aquellos que m\u00e1s los admiraban en otros tiempos pronunciar\u00e1n contra ellos las m\u00e1s terribles maldiciones. Las manos mismas que los coronaron con laureles se levantar\u00e1n para aniquilarlos. Las espadas que deb\u00edan servir para destruir al pueblo de Dios se emplean ahora para matar a sus enemigos.-CS 713-714 (1911).<\/p>\n<p>Aqu\u00ed vemos que la iglesia, el santuario del Se\u00f1or, era la primera en sentir los golpes de la ira de Dios. Los ancianos [Eze. 9:6], aquellos a quienes Dios hab\u00eda brindado gran luz, que se hab\u00edan destacado como guardianes de los intereses espirituales del pueblo, hab\u00edan traicionado su cometido.-2JT 65-66 (1882).<\/p>\n<p>Los falsos pastores vuelven ineficaz la Palabra de Dios&#8230; Su obra pronto recaer\u00e1 sobre ellos mismos.
